My services are tailored depending on the type of project you need edited. I offer academic editing services for research publications and other academic genres. I also offer UX-informed editing for websites and tech products.
I provide the following services:
Copy editing: a thorough read-through of your text, intended to find and correct issues with spelling, grammar, punctuation, word choice, sentence structure, inconsistent usage, and adherence to your chosen style guide
Line editing: similar to copy editing, with more of a focus on improving language and style, including the voice and tone of a text
Language editing: copy editing specifically for authors who use English as an additional language, intended to improve clarity and coherence for readers from any background
Proofreading: a quick revision conducted as part of finalizing a work, intended to spot typos and formatting errors
Constructive feedback: comments to identify what's working or not working, point out issues in your writing, educate you about your options for resolving them, and explain my edits as necessary
Text formatting: styling text to specifications for font, spacing, pagination, etc. in Microsoft Word

Rates
I typically charge a flat rate per word, based on the type and length of your project and the extent of editing you require. I prefer this method because it allows us to agree on a set rate for your project in advance.
